¿Tienes hambre? Are you feeling hungry? Would you like to try an old sushi milkshake or cockroach sprinkles on ice cream? Spanish 2 students created disgusting restaurant menus and then chose what they would and would not eat from each restaurant.

This school year graduating seniors who meet the minimum qualifications will have the opportunity to receive a 4-H Honor Cord as a distinction during commencement. The application with deadline information can be found in the high school guidance office. The presentation of the 4-H Honor Cord allows students to be commended for the service, leadership, and knowledge gained throughout their 4-H career. Please see Mr. Cyrus or Mr. Rook about the possibility of adding this cord to your awards at the end of the school year.

Students in Mrs. Spanos' psychology classes are studying how psychologists conduct research through various methods. They've watched case studies, done surveys, and today they got to practice the concept of a single-blind experiment by conducting a lab in which volunteer participants had to make guesses on foods, drinks and even artwork!





Just a reminder:
Join us tonight at 6 pm in the EPHS auditorium for Coffee with the Superintendent. An opportunity to ask questions about the State of Schools presentation, the upcoming Levy, or other district concerns.

The East Palestine Boys Soccer team won tonight vs. Waterloo in OHSAA Playoff action 5-0. They will play at United at 1pm on Saturday October 19th.

In tonight's soccer game vs. Waterloo in OHSAA playoff action, Senior Josh Welch recorded his 100th career goal.

REMINDER - Tonight in the High School Auditorium at 6pm will be the OHSAA parent meeting for Winter sport. If any student-athlete wants to participate in a winter sport and did not attend the Fall meeting, you need to attend this meeting to be eligible to play. This is for 7-12 grade student-athletes. This is a OHSAA mandate.

College Credit Plus (CCP) Information Night will be held on Wednesday, October 30, at 5:30 pm at Kent State University Salem. After a general session presented by the university, Mr. Cyrus will have a classroom reserved to answer your specific questions. Students planning to enroll in CCP for the first time should bring a parent to this meeting.

Just a reminder that there is a Key Communicators Meeting Tonight at 6pm in the Elementary School Media Center. Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday 11/14 @ 6pm

Financial Aid Night will be held at the high school on Wednesday, October 23, at 6:00 pm in the auditorium. Youngstown State University will be presenting on the FAFSA and the financial aid process used for admission. All students and parents are welcome to attend.

Congratulations to high school science teacher Mr. Kibler for being selected as the Ohio Lottery Teacher of the Month and to senior Cole Rutledge for being selected as the Ohio Lottery Academic All-Star of the Month for September 2019.

Join us Tomorrow (10/9/19) at 7pm in the EPHS Auditorium for the 2nd annual State of the Schools Presentation. Mr Neifer will discuss our current academic and financial situation, along with information about the levy on the ballot in November, and future district goals.

Below are the brackets for this year EOAC middle school volleyball tournament 7th Grade will have a 1st round bye on 10/7 and will play a home game at 5:00pm on 10/8 vs. the winner of Southern Local vs. Lisbon match. 8th Grade will play at United at 6pm on 10/7.



Congratulations to the High School Girls Cross Country team as they were crowned 3x EOAC Champs! The team was led by Hope Figley, Emily Zimmerman, Hannah Cunningham, Faith Figley, and Heather Bishop.
On the boys side, Cole Rutledge was named individual EOAC Champion along with Matt Garcia earning first team honors. In addition, scorers for the bulldogs included Dominic Fertch, Gavin Lambert, and George Bosworth.
The Middle School Girls Cross Country team also earned the EOAC crown. Great performances were turned in by Jaylene Jackson, Jasmine Ludt, Anna Jascola, and Sierra Lee.
