Good Afternoon, East Palestine community, students, and staff.
It is with a heavy heart that I regret to inform you of the tragic loss of Austin Miller, a member of the Senior Class at East Palestine High School. Austin was involved in an accident that took place in the early-afternoon on Friday, August 23 at East Palestine City Lake. We extend our heartfelt condolences and our deepest sympathies to his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. His loss will be felt by the entire community of East Palestine.
Insight Clinical Counseling, the Mahoning Valley Crisis Response Team, and the East Palestine Resiliency Center have been and will remain on campus to provide necessary emotional support and grief counseling for our students and staff. Offering support of this kind to those in our bulldog community who are struggling to cope, is a priority for us as a district.
