Our neighbors at Columbiana and Crestview have laid down the challenge, and we are ready to step up! This Friday, February 27th, we are asking our Bulldogs to wear blue in honor of Rare Disease Day.

While these diagnoses may be uncommon, the families navigating them are our friends, neighbors, and classmates. Please join us this Friday by wearing your favorite blue gear as we show our support for these families!

Yesterday, Mrs. Peterson’s 6th Grade Social Studies students completed their investigation into the preservation methods used in Ancient Egypt. After two weeks of resting in salt-rich natron, the hot dog mummies were finally unearthed! The sarcophagi were removed, and the bandages were unwrapped. Next, a final inspection was conducted.

Mrs. Peterson challenged the students to find the perfect adjectives to describe the appearance, texture, and, of course, the smell of their mummified creations. It turns out that 3,000 years of tradition—condensed into 14 days—leads to some very vivid vocabulary!

He’s always there when we need him, and today, we’re making sure he knows how much he’s appreciated.

Our latest Learn to Teach – Teach to Learn workshop was a delicious success! Our students took a deep dive into the art of making handmade gnocchi!

The best part? Once they mastered the technique, they were able to share their creations with family. It’s one thing to follow a recipe, but it’s another to have fun while doing it!

We can't wait to see what's next on the calendar for this fantastic program!

SURPRISE!

On Friday, we surprised 177 EPMS students with a PBIS Glow Dance to celebrate their commitment to our school-wide expectations. In our PBIS framework, we look for students who "lead the pack" through kindness and accountability—and this group did exactly that!

Our 6th graders are bringing Ancient Egypt to life in the most exciting way!
Today, Mrs. Peterson helped them transform into junior Egyptologists, learning the intricate process of mummification by preserving hot dogs!
This hands-on experiment isn't just fun – it’s a brilliant way to explore Ohio Learning Standards in Social Studies, helping students understand ancient Egyptian culture, scientific innovation, and their unique beliefs about the afterlife.

Stay tuned for updates on our mummified hot dogs' progress!
