Alumni Spotlight: Madison Cannon
Several months ago, Rotary Interact and Government students wrote thank you cards to express appreciation to active military members who are graduates of East Palestine High School or who are connected to our community. Four of our students (Jenna Hooley, Elizabeth Kinkead, Madison Telischak and Brennan Bland) wrote to U.S. Marine Gunnery Sergeant Scott Frank. Sergeant Frank is stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA, and he is a graduate of EPHS. He was so impressed by the students' actions that he sent them a letter and his coin, which is a very prestigious token of acknowledgement from those in the military.
After an eventful last week, this week will continue to keep the Class of 2021 busy!

Tomorrow, Friday, May 21, we will be holding the annual Senior Awards program in the high school auditorium beginning at 9:00 am. Juniors and Seniors will be called to the auditorium by grade level beginning at 8:50 am. With the capacity constraints pressed upon us due to the pandemic, we are not able to accommodate all staff and students in this year’s program. As a result, we will be live streaming the program on the school district’s YouTube channel. The program will be called East Palestine High School 2021 Senior Awards Ceremony and appear on the channel once the event begins. Family members and the community will also be able to view this Livestream if they are unable to attend.
