Today is School Bus Driver Appreciation Day, and we want to give a massive shout-out to the incredible team that keeps our students moving every single day. From the first "good morning" to the final drop-off in the afternoon, our drivers are the heartbeat of the East Palestine City School District. They navigate every turn and every Ohio weather shift with one priority: keeping our Bulldogs safe and sound!

Please join us in celebrating these essential members of our school family by giving them a big wave at the bus stop or sharing a thank-you note. You can also drop a comment below to give a special shout-out to the driver who makes your student's day a little brighter. We truly have the best crew behind the wheel, and we are so grateful for their dedication and care!

It's Prom Day!
But before the big day arrived, we focused on what mattered most: getting our students home safely.
We were honored to host The Safe Mobility Project via Akron Children’s Hospital. Our students engaged in vital simulations and discussions regarding safe driving practices, reinforcing the importance of staying focused behind the wheel during Prom season and beyond.

Let’s make this a night to remember for all the right reasons!

Our Bulldogs had an incredible time at the Youngstown State University English Festival this week!
Our high school students kicked things off on Wednesday (4/22), followed by our middle school students on Thursday (4/23). It was an inspiring two days filled with workshops, competitive spirit, and the unique opportunity to meet world-class authors—including a special meet-and-greet with Randy Ribay!

We are also incredibly proud that some of our EPHS students were award winners this year!
Izzy Jones - 2nd Place Team, Connections
Kara Lewis - Honorable Mention, Journalism Workshop
Kristina Huffman - Honorable Mention, Impromptu Essay
Marley Haldiman - Honorable Mention, Writing Games

Congratulations to our winners and to every student who represented our district with such creativity and passion for the literary arts. Way to go, Bulldogs!

This afternoon, we’re hosting our annual Prom Mock Crash to educate our students on the importance of staying drug and alcohol-free. It is a sobering, live demonstration designed to show our students the real-world consequences of impaired driving. We are incredibly grateful to the East Palestine Fire Department, local EMTs, and our Police Department for volunteering their time to create this life-saving educational tool. Let’s work together to make this a safe and memorable prom season!

We are thrilled to share that our very own EPHS School Counselor, Mrs. Randolph, was selected as one of only 15 counselors to serve on the University of Akron’s Director's Council.

Mrs. Randolph spent time providing valuable feedback to the University Admissions Team and even caught up with UA President Nemer! The visit wrapped up with some networking (and a little fun) at an Akron RubberDucks game. We love seeing our staff representing our district at the collegiate level!
